Welcome guys, it’s time for the nice recap of the 2025 Street League Canadian Nationals!

First of all thanks to all of our sponsors like Iflight, Team blacksheep, Gemfan and SpeedsourceFPV for the awesome prizes, Ville de Sorel-Tracy, Desjardins and Olin for the general help and Formica for the sponsor wall! Thanks to all of the pilots who came at the event!

Saturday points round

On Saturday afternoon, pilots who were present performed their first 5 packs with good consistency on the timer. The rest of the pilots were scheduled to do them Sunday morning.

Saturday night Team Race

At night, it was time for the nice team race. To make it fair for everyone, we have made a unique and easy track for team racing. The target was to have less crash, tighter race and same amount of pack flown per pilot.

All pilots will then have 3 packs of qualification no practice. Based on the best 3 laps, the team was made. We ended up with a tight leaderboard in the top 4 (59.7sec to 61.0sec). Note that the fastest holeshot was a 7.0 from Gab707 followed by BendFPV with a 7.18sec, Pino with a 7.34, Baxony with a 7.543, Paco and flynix with a 7.555sec, cwchapma with a 7.6sec, Nailed and Rose with a 8 sec, Virgile with a 9sec and Ruteky with an 11sec.

Final leaderboard following those 3 packs was

1-Gab707

2-BendFPV

3-Pino

4-Paco

5-Flynix

6-Baxony

7-cwchapma

8-Nailed

9-Rose

10-Ruteky

11-Virgile

Following this leaderboard, the teams were made.

Team 1

Gab707

Baxony

cwchapma

Team 2

BendFPV

Flynix

Nailed

Virgile

Team 3

Pino

Paco

Rose

Ruteky

We were flying 3 at a time. The last position got 1 point, second 2 points and first 3 points. The first pilots of each team were flying together up to the last pilots. As you can see, only 2 teams had 4 pilots. so, team 1 automatically had 2 points. team 2 and 3 were fighting for 1 and 3 points.

Each group will race 2 times and set points for their team. The last team is eliminated from the finals.

That was a tight 2 races per pilots, everyone gor 4 points other than cwchapma, Nailed and Rose. Rose got a total of 2 points. cwchapma and Nailed were fighting for the first and second position in both races. They both got 5 points.

Saturday night Team Race Final

After those 2 packs, Team 1 and 2 had a total of 17 points while Team 3 had 14.

to have 2 team of 4, Ruteky who was in team 3 jumped in team 1 for the final

In the finals, the team with the most points at the end of the two packs would win the team race. Ruteky, cwchapma, Virgile and Nailed were flying in the first group and Baxony, Gab707, Flynix and BendFPV were flying in the second group.

After the first pack, team 1 had 10 points and team 2 10 points. The last pack matters. Everything was going to be decided on the single and last pack. After an intense race, Nailed was in the front, but crashed. He finished 3rd and virgile in fourth. For team 2, the only way to win it is to even the score again and try to get it in a third round.

It was time for the last pack where team 1 had the win really close to them. Unfortunately for team 2, Gab from team 1 got the first place, BendFPV and Flynix from team 2 got the second and third place and Baxony from Team 1 got the fourth place. The final points were 22 points for team 1 and 18 points for team 2 in the finals.

all pilots from Team 1 win a nice 50$ from TBS and out of that, the pilots who bring the most points for the team was going to win the team race trophy!

from the 3 original pilots of the team, Baxony win a total of 6 points, Gab707 10 points and cwchapma 13 points. So, Team 1 is the final winner and cwchampa is winning the team race trophy!

Sunday morning points round

People who were not there Saturday morning were flying for their points round 1 to 5 on Sunday evening. After the 5th round, the leaderboard was still really tight for the bottom position of top 8.

1-BendFPV 58

2-Pino 48

3-Flynix 43

4-cwchapma 42

5-Paco 38

6-Gab707 36

7-Rose 26

8-Sojuman 25

8-Baxony 25

8-Nailed 25

11-Fury 14

12-Virgile 10

13-Ruteky 1

Following a mistake for BendFPV, Pino managed to get a good run and close the gap to even (78 points each). Only 2 rounds left. The other positions spread a bit and Nailed was now in 7th, Rose in 8th, Sojuman in 9 and Baxony in 10. Flynix with a 72 and Gab707 with a 71 were not that far from the TQ.

After a tight 9th race, Pino was now in the TQ position with 90pts, BendFPV in second with 89pts. The transfer position was 3pts away from Sojuman with a 47pts and Rose with a 50pts.

On the last pack of the points round where everyone is pushing, Rose managed to stay on the edge of the transfer position with her 53pts, Baxony jumped to 52pts and sojuman to 51pts. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to get the transfer position. They will stay in the 9-16 group.

For the TQ, on the last laps right after the dive gate is where everything changed. BendFPV and Pino were neck to neck for the entire race. a midair happened right at the end after the dive gates.

BendFPV managed to pull it up and win against Pino with a 101sec. Pino had the chance to even the points, but due to the midair, Gab707 managed to get a 103sec and pino a 105sec. That means BendFPV got the TQ by only one point.

Bottom final

We’ve started with the bottom group. Ruteky, Virgile, Sojuman and Baxony were up and ready to fly. The last to cross the line was eliminated. Virgile was the first eliminated in fourth followed by Ruteky in 3rd.

In the last pack despite the effort made by Sojuman and the previous 2 positions, Baxony was able to stay in front and get a first position for the entire finals races.

Top final

It's now time for the top group. We’ve spread pilots in 2 groups based on their position. even and odd group. In group number one, we got BendFPV, Gab707, Paco and Nailed. In group 2, we got Pino, Flynix, cwchapma and Rose.

In the first race, Pino and Paco won their races and were now in the final. Only one chance left for all 6 pilots to be in the final. cwchapma and Gab707 cross the finish gate before every other pilot.

The final 8 to 5 position was decided by only one race. BendFPV, Flynix, Nailed and Rose were part of it. BendFPV crossed the finish gate first, followed by Flynix, then Nailed and Rose.

half of the positions are official. We still have the top 4 to run!

The format was the same as the bottom group. The last to cross the start finish was out. Pino, Gab707, Paco and cwchapma were on and ready to fully send their drones!

Unfortunately, cwchapma crossed the line last on the first race and Gab707 was out after the second race. The pressure is now on Pino and Paco. both super talented and fast pilots.

Despite a tight race, Paco was able to keep the lead until the end of the second lap. A small midair makes him crash in the last element before the finish line. He wasn’t able to recover the lost time and Pino crossed the finish first. This ended up being a super tight and nice race!
